What is Anger ?

Anger is a normal and healthy emotion that happens when you are frustrated, hurt, annoyed, or disappointed. Anger can help or hurt you, depending on how you react to it. If you can react without hurting someone else, it can be good. It’s useful when needed to protect yourself, and it can motivate you to change things.

Holding your anger inside, can lead to passive-aggressive behavior like “getting back” at people without telling them why or being critical and hostile. Angry outbursts are stressful to your nervous and cardiovascular systems and can make health problems worse.

Anger can lead to anxiety and depression. It can disrupt your relationships and raise your risk of illness. Knowing how to recognize and express feelings and emotions in appropriate ways can help you handle emergencies, solve problems, and hold on to meaningful relationships. Long-term anger has been linked to health problems.

How Anger Management works

Noisily expressing your anger or soundlessly burying it are two ways most people deal with anger. Equally harmful and may pose the same health risks. Released and controlled anger gives the best results expressed anger.

You must become self-aware. Don't let yourself fly into a rage. Instead, be conscious of your anger. It’s the only way to figure out exactly what is making you angry.

Once you can identify the real problem, you can try to solve it rationally instead of getting pointlessly furious.

“Anger management” can sound pretty weak and silly. It’s often seen and used as a punishment, a humiliation to be endured with a stigma rather than anything you’d ever want to seek out on your own. Unchecked anger also can be linked to crime, abuse, and other violent behavior.

Uncontrolled anger can interfere with your life, Like any other human emotion, it’s how you use not abuse anger that matters. Learning how to turn your rage into something useful is beneficial.
